For as long as I can remember I've been a seeker of knowledge and experience- my inquisitive nature always fueling my direction in life. This innate curiosity led to years of travelling and living across Canada & overseas. I'm as equally inspired by the geography of this planet and its inhabitants as I am by its humans. Whether it’s my best friend or a Kyrgyz nomad, I'm at my best when engaging people and listening to their stories.
As for formal education, I picked up my first SLR (note the lack of 'D') early on in high school. I later trained in photography at Langara College. I discovered image-making was a deep passion of mine I simply could not ignore. Later, I submersed myself in French, Political Science and Women's Studies courses at Capilano University. While researching and writing about these topics, I found all I could do was think of ways to bring these stories ALIVE. It was perhaps inevitable I chose broadcasting.
Because of this outstanding medium I have flown across Canada at 1,000 feet with 100 civilian aircraft; helped a small community change their lives forever; become BFFs with beautiful B.C. and every day, people let me into their little universes for an intimate look at the interesting lives they lead.
...and I'm able to say emphatically I love what I do.
